What Does This Mean ?
82% cheaper · 5.6× faster 44 screens across 12 journeys, delivered in 63 hours of design time over 19 days — versus an estimated £9,622 and 354 hours for a traditional Figma-only prototype of the same scope — by working with Claude as a prototyping partner throughout.
The Brief
The client's leasing and contract hire customers were facing a manual, multi-checkpoint end-of-lease process. They wanted to give their drivers , and their SME clients' drivers a digital, self-service way to manage their end-of-lease journey: starting with returning a vehicle, and eventually including self-serve valuations and vehicle purchase enquiries.
The Booking Portal is one part of a larger platform, the Manheim Driver Hub, which also covers Driver Sales and, from 2027, Self-Inspection. My focus was the Booking Portal: every journey a standard driver goes through, from signing in to booking a collection to tracking it through to completion.
Week-One Prototype
Built a first working prototype in 1 week for an initial stakeholder session at the client's offices, with representatives from customer service, data, product and beyond.
Rapid Iteration
Grew the prototype to 44 screens across 12 user journeys over 19 days of iteration, updating every screen after each round of feedback, from accessibility fixes to full flow changes.
Stakeholder Demos
Ran the prototype through 5 stakeholder demo sessions, including Legal, Data, Customer Service, Development, and Service & Application Support.
Product Alignment
Held weekly feedback sessions with Product to align on direction, priorities and business capability.
